April General Rate Increase

09/03/2009
Due to the recent developments in the Asia-Europe trade and also the current Global economic climate, shipping lines have decided freight rates have declined to levels which are no longer sustainable.

In order to maintain a high level of service stability from the Far East, it is advised that with effect from the 1st April 2009 a rate restoration will be implemented to viable levels for dry and reefer cargoes.
The new general rate increase applies to all cargo moving from Asia to Europe from the 1st April and rate increases will be from USD 250.00 to USD 400.00 per TEU.

Genesis will continue to keep their clients up to date and if you require further information please contact your local office.
