Irish Airport Disruption Update

04/05/2010
Flights in and out of Ireland and Northern Ireland have been suspended since 07.00 BST due to an ash plume that is drifting south from the same Icelandic volcano that caused havoc to European air travel in April.

The main UK airports are operating normally, however, some airspace over Scotland's Outer Herbrides is closed. Transatlantic flights are not affected. Irish airports are set to re-open at 13.00 BST today.
